Hello everyone! I've started a Greenlight campaign for a procedurally generated platformer RPG called Vertical Drop Heroes. It is, basically, Spelunky meets Desktop Dungeons meets Rogue Legacy. Here's the link where you can view the trailer for the game as well as download the latest FREE demo build to help make up your mind:

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=205631999

Features
- Randomly generated stages, enemies and bosses, resulting in a very replayable game
- Artwork, coding and animation done by one person (me) in that unique Nerdook style
- Destructible terrain and multiple uses for each skill gives you plenty of options to approach the different situations generated
- Tons of skills, abilities, traits and powers that you can unlock in the game, creating a different hero each time
- Unique combat system where proper planning is more important than quick reflexes
- Persistent upgrades allow you to carry forward progress between games, with a choice between increasingly expensive persistent upgrades or generally cheaper temporary upgrades
- Every enemy and boss has been designed to provide challenge and variety

And here are some screenshots:

Thanks, let me know what you think of it so far (good or bad). Be sure to grab the latest installer (demo #5), since I update it every week or so: the last update added dynamic water and more variety to the map generation.

Looks really fun. Seems like it's going to get my vote on Greenlight - unless i totally hate the demo, which seems very unlikely. Will let you know Tongue

So my main beefs are these; chalk it up to my personal taste, but I am not a fan of the floatier feeling to controlling your char. Not a big deal, but shrug.

Two; not controlling your main attacks is a turn-off for me. It changes combat from a skill-based activity to a numbers sort of thing. I personally would rather control all of the various things my character does.

Besides that, you have some grasp of addictiveness with the system. Characters are easy to distinguish and the abilities are fun to figure out and use later on.

Keep it up.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll see if making a button to attack makes a big difference.

How will it improve on the already fun Vertical Drop heroes on Kongregate?

Split screen coop, more enemy variety and levels, stealth options, internet coop, a storyline, three times more skills... :D
