game seems interesting and could be quite funny, hope you find tons of mind blowing achievements for him to pull.
(do you have an epic missile dodging situation? hell id have him running on missiles and jumping from one to another for insane feat)

Joh: I am thinking of an homage to the centipede boss in Strider. The Harlem Globe Trotters have been replaced with cyborgs. They combine into a Mega Trotter! As for the other stuff, yeah i hope to have missile jumping.

 Did someone mention rocket hopping? (Sorry if it looks shabby, I spent 1 hour tops on this.. My chopper might not be as realistic of a style as the current art in the game, so I will go back and work on that later. It was just a quick throw together. I also don't have photoshop, so I can't put the cool glow effects on the fire/explosions. I only have MSpaint. Final product will definitely be more polished. ) Dude that basketball court is lookin sickkkk... |

that's sick Ryan! haha I can't wait play that level. Style-wise, I agree that there are discrepancies. The setting of the game lends itself to to a more Metal Slug aesthetic, with vehicles and characters not in scale. The problem is, It's really hard for me to do that style in 3d, and now it's hard in 2d also! I always end up working on more realistic games. I figure this one will fall into an in between style. Anyway, this is really inspirational!

This is wonderful. I've always found North Korea to be a fascinating country and want to visit it myself, even though my friends say it's redundant (because I live in Venezuela).
Anyway, this satire is shaping up very good, the art is fantastic and I really hope Dennis Rodman is a playable character in co-op or something.

Based on the atrocities being committed by North Korea this game is obviously going to be viewed as an insanely offensive and harmful piece of media.
I'm all for that, as seems to be the general opinion in this topic. I'm interested to see how far you push the line, not that there is much of a line because the world at large already sees North Korea as a sort of insidious but lovably insane little bundle of delusion.
Anyway the basketball scene hits the best level of satire for me so far, the crowd of silent suited men is perfect, Kim blowing up hordes of american soldiers and destroying notable american landmarks is good too, but something about the b-ball just really encompasses the sickliness of NK well.

Yes, regarding that subject matter...
Remember the bonus levels of old, like beating up the car in Street Fighter?
I think the first bonus level should be the Glorious Leader running around in the street "tagging" as many people as possible, who get pulled away out of the screen by soldiers.
Then the second bonus level should be the Glorious Leader running around in an internment camp killing as many of these people as possible, who now also should look considerably thinner.
Don't forget the ugly truth about this.

Yes, regarding the subject matter, I want to have fun with this, but also shine light on the truth of the situation. To me, whole North Korea thing is like a car wreck. I can't look away but I don't know exactly how I can help. I'm hoping to really find my voice on it by making this game.
