Oh. My. God.
That was so ridiculously awesome... I don't know. It was just ridiculously awesome.
I mean... Wow. The ending... was... holy shit.

Very interesting work!
One quick bug report -- the "NEW GAME" and "START" menu options don't seem to work correctly, they didn't take me back to the start of the game but they replayed the starting dialog? Also, is there any point to "CONTINUE" after the game ends? It seemed like it put me at a random point further back in the narrative.

Amazing atmosphere. A fine piece of interactive story telling indeed. And bloody creepy. And great. And awesome.
It was wonderful how both stories intertwined with each other. The narrow corridors definitely added to that creepy atmosphere as well, together with the controls, wondering what's after each corner. The entire game through I thought something was going to be there!

That was a wonderful experience. I doubt it would manage to convey the same feelings if it didn't have low rez graphics like that.
One bug, though. I finished the game, pressed ESC, the menu said New Game, Continue, Exit, right? I chose new game; and it didn't restart the game, instead it gave me the first monologue in the final room, and it finished again.

I loved this game. This game was visually on par with Wolfenstein 3D but it still sucked me in.
One maybe spoilery complain tho.
The ending was seriously lame. Build up an atmosphere and destroy it with one cheesy sentence.

I agree, the ending felt very abrupt.

Very nice atmosphere, but like Terry's last game the "interactivity" is so-so, It's like an interactive book where turning each page would be very tedious. It would be awesome with a gun, and imps.

I've always been interested in the idea of a game that used a real-time raycaster, and this is the first I've seen.
What about Wolfenstein or Doom?

I don't get all the hype the game is getting, somehow. It wasn't bad, not at all, but people saying "brilliant" to everything in the game makes me a bit concerned.
The story was well-told, but the atmosphere didn't last long enough.

Please add WASD and mouse look (horizontal only) as i describe in the main page entry's comment. It'll make the controls much more intuitive and simple, while right now i'm in constant struggle with them.
Or at least mention how i can compile the game (required libs, where to find them, what compiler and its options, etc) so i can add it myself.

I didn't really get the ending.
Judith was closed in the last room by her husband, right?
Then why Jeff found Emily there?
What does it mean?

Update with the more glaring technical problems fixed. Same links as before (cf first post). jani mikkonen has made a linux build for us (ditto). Please add WASD and mouse look (horizontal only) as i describe in the main page entry's comment.
Neither Terry nor I are going to change the controls. It uses SDL and FMod Ex. There are no non-standard compiler options required beyond what the above libraries require.

Man, that was great.
I loved the art, the story; everything about it was fantastic.

The art and atmosphere was really cool, but the story was a letdown. I didn't quite get the connection with the two stories, and the ending was very abrupt and unexpectedly cheerful. Not that unexpected things are bad, but it didn't seem to gel with the rest of the story.

I must not be the target audience. It was neat, but not really interactive, and the ending made no sense to me.

I liked the atmosphere - I'm a sucker for context-sensitive footsteps - and I originally found the ending too on-the-button.
Spoiler:
However, what struck me when I opened that door was how ready Emily was to throw herself into my arms. After seeing everything that Judith went through, it made me wonder whether or not I was keeping any secrets from Emily, and whether she would be so willing to give herself to me if she knew.
But after a second playthrough - man, it hit me!
Spoiler:
As it's been said, there are three storylines: Jeff and Emily, Judith and her husband, and Judith's dreams. But while Judith's dreams seem to reflect Jeff's passage through the castle...they actually don't. It's a testament to how tightly woven the three storylines are.
Judith dreamed about a husband mourning for his wife. But Jeff isn't Emily's husband.
And once you figure that out, you realize who the Prisoner is, and why his threat is so dire for both women.
This game's narrative is...incredible.
