More terror and atmosphere than platform jumping or something.

On a lighter note...

I really liked Verge. I was surprised (and somewhat awed) when the Afterlife turned out to be underwater and reachable without dying. It was like, there's the real world, and then there's the afterlife, and then whoa! the afterlife is a river/lake/puddle!!!

Hey, awesome -- that was exactly the kind of feeling I was trying to convey Grin

Don't feel too bad about it. These things tend to be hit or miss for many people.

That being said, 31BR was a rather unusual inclusion. Also odd that at the end of the first paragraph he refers to the games as 'eight low-res platformers', when only four of the games were low-res platformers.

I wonder if coverage of the TIGS competitions is going to be a regular feature in PC Gamer from now on? It should be!

I think TigSource should have its own magazine.

Hello this is Pencerkoff

My description wasn't very good... I don't think they got very far in my game.

Still great to be in a magazine... is this magazine any good?  Will I have thousands of fans after this?  I mean like, thousands more than I have now?

EDIT: After a second read I guess being called "brilliant" isn't bad at all... but I still question if he got past my 5th level.

Yeah, even an idiot wouldn't think 31BR was a platformer.  Nor was it low-res, if memory serves.

I don't think he got very far in many of them, to be fair; look at his write-up of Lost in Eldritch!

PC Gamer is, as far I can tell, one of the largest print magazines for the PC in the UK. Readership figures probably aren't what they once were, but I'd reckon quite a lot of people will see this.

Maybe this is a bad time to ask, but what more is there than looking at the creepy owl and gathering all the "fruit"?  I thought I finished that one...

But don't get the impression I feel gypped by that guy, I could name a few fellow contenders that deserved that spot more... so I'm perfectly happy.

Well, okay, that's all there is to it. But it was written like he was expecting more, and only played for about 5 minutes before moving onto the next game.

I could name a few fellow contenders that deserved that spot more... so I'm perfectly happy.

Verily, you are a gentleman. Gentleman

Whoah, congrats to everyone with games in the article! They all looked & sounded really professional ... except maybe "Cactus's Entry", but I'm glad that one was included because it's got a crazyfun visual style when you play it.   Gentleman (And it is really well done despite the screenshot's appearance.)
