AutoTileGen is a tool to automate the repetitive task of making terrain tilesets. With only a few simple input images you get a complete 48 tile set ready to be used in your games. Video here:

Looks awesome. Tile placement is by far the most tedious part of making a level. Is this a Unity only thing?

The tileset generation is a standalone application. The autotile selector plugin is just for unity right now but but if I get enough requests i'll port it to gamemaker or whatever.

Do you have any details on what the Gamemaker plugin would actually do? Will it be similar to the Unity example in the video where the tile is automagically applied when moving objects around?

That's the idea. It'll do everything the unity plugin does provided that GameMaker supports that.
