This is inspired by a couple of games Canabalt and Flywrench. I've tried to mix the colour matching of fly wrench with the running and jumping of Canabalt.

Jumping changes your colour on the upward and downward flight. The lazers will only let you through if you're color matches.

Still lots of stuff to do:
  • Make it harder gradually
  • Add a lazer gate for dashing and walking
  • Add something to be able to share scores
  • Add mobile friendly controls for dashing

New build updated. Increased the size of the blob from 32 to 64. Increased the timings of the gates and added some more sounds when passing through.

Neat little game -- I like it.

I am not sure if this was meant, but sans the start, once I was in the air, I was able to stay in the air with a multitude of jumps and dashes to never touch the ground again. I am not sure if that is the mechanic you had in mind, but I was able to reach a score of 61 by doing so.

That's smashed my high score Smiley

I'm planning on adding a lazer gate where you have go through while on the ground, but yeah that's definitely the best way to get through at the moment. Just try and stay as close as you can to the middle by dashing and jumping.

Lots of stuff done since the last drop. Simple game, but i always underestimated the amount of other crap you have to do.

  • Added touch support
  • Added an in game tute screen
  • Fixed dashing collision (so you can't just spam it now)
  • Reduced the size of the hit boxes a bit

build updated.

This looks addictive. I'm still not entirely clued up on core mechanic though. I saw that you could float/dash, but is that a limited thing you can do or is it part of the control scheme?

I plan to add a dash gate at some stage, similar to the lazers. It's also useful if you need to cut a jump off if you're going to high.

Core mechanic is really just jump timing, the color matching is really just a visualisation of this and it adds a bit of variety.

After playing the demo it's actually intuitive. My laptop is rubbish with flash games so it started to lag for me, but if I was playing on my phone I'd probably play for ages.
