My friend described this game to me as "a mecha fps where you can do walljumps and stuff". Then I watch a video and turns out it's not the mecha that do the parkour. Lost all interest in an instant.
Same here. I get the impression from watching the videos and video reviews that this is an intensely boring game. Two-dimensional movement, XBox controller-limited functionality, etc etc. Enough to make me not want to try it. |

I'm only mildly interested in Titanfall at this time, and I don't think it would be worth the price tag when there are so many other strong multiplayer titles out there. Besides, Dark Souls 2 is coming out on the PC next month and I expect that it will consume all of my attention when it does.

please tell me more about how you aren't gonna get titanfall in the thread for discussing titanfall. it's super helpful.
titanfall falls flat in story. they take a lot of cues from brink, but fail to take the one thing brink actually did well (the story elements). sigh.

Titanfall is pretty fast paced, though I would say there's a surprising amount of strategy to it. You'd probably enjoy a game like Rainbow Six Vegas 2 though instead. It's much more strategic. |

The gifs were made on the LPC (large pixel collider), which is a superpowered pc that pc gamer keeps on showing off. 4 titans, 4k screen, stuff like that. The gifs are probably 60 fps or something.

Titanfall has a lot more positioning importance than the typical shooter, as it's really easy to get around and above enemies. You have to be aware of the battlefield almost constantly.
