I'm so glad you like it, guys So, I've decided that there won't be any Fire Wizards, Water Wizards and Earth Wizards in the game. Since all the wizards that fight in Risk of Death are summoned from their own dimensions to the tournament each one of them will be a character, with a backstory, etc. Here's the Pyromancer: Jake's a young boy with no magic talent whatsoever. Though, that ain't stopping him from rampaging through the battlefields. How is he capable of going on par with the most powerful wizards from all dimensions - you might ask. Well, he is soul-bound with his bird companion, and it so turns out that the bird happens to be an ancient Pheonix, one of a kind. Here's my doodle of how will he look like: The Pheonix will be flying over his head and he'll be the one casting the spells. Thoughts?

Marks all hit enemies with a Lightning Mark, which lasts 4 seconds. [W] Force Grip - (channeling) grabs the nearest enemy in the direction Darth's facing, hovers him in the air rendering him unable to move / cast spells. If the enemy's a player he can fight it by mashing X button. In the meantime the Force Grips steals life from the immobilized enemy. [E] Lightning Strike - teleports to every enemy marked by Lightning Mark and slashes him with his sword, stays at the last one's location. Visualized only by sword slash trails on affected enemies. [R] Shock Wave - a wave of energy blasting away and damaging everything on its way

Those powers are intoxicating. I especially like the "flash" - I mean both abstractly and literally. The powers are my favourite part, above the backgrounds and enemies, and everything else that is good. It reminds me of Cave Story. Maybe that is cliche to say. The games are similar in how simple and effective the combat flourishes are. I think my favourite part of Cave Story was the tight feel of combat. I felt like Pixel had given me tools to action the way I wanted to, instead of the way he envisioned - like so many AAA games fail to do. Your game's video gives me similar feelings. Good work.

@knifey: yeah, poor salamndrs @solarlune: thanks :3 @graham: seems like I'll have to play that cave story game after all // i like the fact that you can still jump even if you're mid-air if you haven't jumped since the last collision with the ground, everything to make it as mobile as possible because mobility is fun

I didn't like the beginning five minutes // tomorrow together with Wojtek (the artist) at work we'll be trying to test the first build with local multi, since nor me, nor waxx have gamepads / ppl to test it with at home I hope we'll be able to at least play lol
