FINISHED. Beer!

But I've gotta sleep!  I'm going to upload one last test build, sleep, mail something to France, then release Milestone Two to the world.  Finally.

Wait, what's happening? First there was some kind of fanfic where a woman slept with santa claus, then one dude wanted to have another one's babies and then someone uploaded somthing and drew some title grafics. I am very confused Huh?

Are you guys working on this again?

You may!  I'm taking a breather before I write the epic post.  (And waiting to see if there are any bizarre crashes.)

It's not too late. Add your second post to your first post, then delete you second post and you'll get a second chance at the mancrib.

I don't know if this is the right thread or not, but is movement going to stay like this in the final game?

It just seems a little button mashing intensive. Like, if I run into a wall with a gap underneath, Baldo doesn't go into a crawl automatically, I have to press the down key. Same for hitting up for walls with gaps at Baldo's chest height. I got stuck in the attic on the title screen the first time I played because of the latter instance. I dunno; the controls just feel a little verbose. It feels like I have an almost excessive amount of exact(ing?) control over the players movement, but I never found any situations where all this extra power would come in handy.

Also, there are a few places where movement doesn't "flow" quite right. Like, you can climb up stairs in a small tunnel just by holding up and a directional key, but you have to repeatedly mash down when climbing down them.

The movement in at the moment is intentional and final, barring any major changes of direction. It's harking back to the games that BQ is based upon so it was part of the original brief.

Awesome, thank you.  And welcome! Gentleman

This will make m year if BMcC ever finishes it.
But I don't wanna finish it!  Tongue

The current plan is to release a big update at the end of August and hope the community can take it from there.  Should be good?

Yeah, I mean... I'll iterate on the movement, for sure.  Guy's gonna have a bunch more moves by the time it's done.  But I don't really get why having exact control is a bad thing?  There will be plenty of situations where you wouldn't want him doing things like climbing ledges and ducking under gaps automatically.

Also, at least in the build on my machine, you can hold down to walk down steps.  Might not be in the last released build, though. Shrug
