kescoe: How do you do your lighting? Do you compile your stuff in Unity and if so, what assets/plugins do you use? I'm loving the feel of those pictures.

Saturator: Yea I made the whole thing in unity and then i just ran the scene and recorded the screen using gifcam.

The fireflys are just small spheres with a self illumi texture ,and point light with halo.

Here are the plugin names and links:
Fog: Fog Volume https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/14557
Color Correction: Colorful https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/3842
(the above plugins are well worth the money i highly recommend them)

heres a collection of the environment with more gifs with different colors:https://www.behance.net/gallery/19661953/Firefly-Forest

ps. thanks  Smiley

I swear she's not kim pine. look no freckles no frown. see. it's not kim pine. see.

extra mode: click it to see how it looked when I was done and took away the lineart layer. (it looks pretty bonkers)

I actually kinda dig the way it looks without the lines. If the face had more definition to it I think it'd be good to go.

Thanks for the reply and the links! I've been eyeing Colorful for a while and it looks pretty damn good. The volumetric fog thingy looks like it's definitely a worthwhile addition as well. Both shall go on my shopping list!  Smiley

I agree entirely about the line art-less look being pretty cool. The only reason I ain't going for that, is because making sloppy lineart and coloring inside is REAL FAST for me, while making defined flat color paintings is REAL SLOW. But I'll probably sit down and make another version of this character with no outlines O:

This one also clickable! There's no "tweak" to this, the lineart is just hidden, resulting in invisible head. which look pretty cool too!

^ That's pretty cool. I think I would have liked / would like an RPG or something where you can have a faceless soldier / clone / agent / "G-Man" for a party member. He'd always be cold and calculating, looking for the practicality of things, even avoiding emotion altogether because it doesn't work for any means. If he had a face, he'd always sport a slight default smirk.

His only concern is following his Corporation's orders. Over time spent in the party he'd become more amiable and humanized, and form relationships with the party members. He would have made friends, or at least, acquaintances, which would be a big deal to him.

Anyway, cool art - I think the shading on the arms makes it look like he's facing backward (with his elbows facing us). I like the other characters, too. The main character seems a bit down - would it be a kind of "rude and selfish hero grows with the help of his friends" kind of story?
