Nothing fancy, I don't care about expensive rendering, however there is inconsistency within the lighting, for example the frame, the planks and the diagonal planks have shading that goes in all the direction, the frame have a light that come from top left, the diagonal has light coming from the opposite direction (therefore look recessed) so does the plank, that's now how light should be.

 (Sorry for the fact that this is a photo taken by my phone rather than a scan) OC... hah, but no obviously this is a copy of "Girl with a Pearl Earring" which I hope you know of. I think I may have positioned the jaw and nose slightly off in rotation (I really should learn to draw without rotating my sketchbook for different line angles), and the bun may be slightly too high up. But I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. |

@JWK5 ooh I like the contrast on the water there, also the deep reds all over! The color scheme in General reminds me of Metal Slug for some reason. Just worked through the night to finish this, a friend of mine got a big promotion at her job and asked me to draw her in a suit  (sorry that it makes the page a lot taller) |
