I agree, and I'm sorry to be hijacking this thread in a way, but if you want to do ANYTHING with animation or expressiveness, Louis de Funès is the best possible inspiration you can get.

Take this single minute:


It doesn't matter if you speak French or not, you get every last nuance and then some. An entire shack of disney animators couldn't deliver a character as well as he did if they had 20 years to do it.

yeah I thought it's weird how I keep drawing people with guns but they just pose with the guns

I wanted to draw someone with a face that wants to kill someone.

I mean it's not good to kill someone in rage, you shouldn't have a gun if you're mad

- which is why it's fun to draw just that

I think it's because someone with a gun holding that pose is immediately interesting. You immediately start asking yourself questions.
Why does she have a gun?
Who is she out to kill?
What events led up to this?
Art like that is telling. I think that's what makes it good.

Do not like the DOF, would have preferred plain brush strokes like the lady above. Both are slightly impressionistic which I like a lot. The pose is kinda awkward, and I think that's because of the arm. It feels a lot more "straight" than your usual style.

Those forest creatures use cool colors, I would have just made the yellow more vibrant. They both look really menacing and mysterious, which seems to have been your intention. Very good.

The other one is a naked lady. I'm more impressed by the background than anything. It seems like she's sinking in sand. Because of the pyramid structure in the background I get this feeling that she's gigantic, although I also feel like I'm missing something.
