Creativity births expression. Curiosity births exploration. Our work is as soil to these seeds; our art is what grows from them...Wreath, SoundSelf, Infinite Blank, Cave Story+, <plaid/audio>

I didn't know whether to put this here or in the doodles thread. ... So here. I was inspired by Chad Wys and wanted to sling color on crap. This is the result. Pretty late on this, but I really want to steal this art style for some graphic design posters. If it was a bit more accessible (famous paintings + a fun/cool/familiar style of shapes on top) I think this would really take off. I might have to take a stab at it myself later this week.

Wicked design. I found the 'mossmouth' to be a little hard to read at first, though.

I made a lot of Disney Posters this Winterbreak; this poster was my favorite one. The only thing I didn't create was the logo.

Jesus, I didn't know you were such a good artist!!! Where did you learned to draw like that? I really like the Gesture Drawings Summer-Fall '12 and The Hamlet of Tyranny (from deviant art). Did you go to any art institute, do you have any tips for a beginner?

Thanks! I never went to art school but I've taken a few classes here and there. Mostly I just drew a lot and spend a lot of time studying other people's work. You can learn a lot that way! Having family, friends, and/or an online community to draw with and push your skills is very helpful, too. I owe a lot to my dad, my group of comic book friends, and the Eatpoo forums (sadly it's been defunct for quite a few years now).

A shield demo for someone in IRC. I went for old, and left somewhere damp. 30min, oh the magic of sketch, colour, light, downsample, clean Not pixel work so it's here instead of there, some work done at pixel res though.

If I get more time around KAG stuff I might do some knoodling each night Been crunching for like 7 months now so while it just seems normal I've still got a noticeable lack of free hours in the day, haha. Things like this don't eat too much time though so we'll see. Very glad you like it
