Devblog update for 11/25 - http://anthonydev.tumblr.com/post/103558362016/turnover-progress-report-for-11-25-steam

Worth noting: Turnover's Steam Greenlight campaign will go live on 12/9! I'll be sure to make a post here when it launches.

Been doing a lot of graphic stuff lately. The worker ID card adds a little personality NPCs in the game. Also, I've been spending a lot of time revamping sprites.

Devblog update for 12/2 - http://anthonydev.tumblr.com/post/104167610876/turnover-progress-report-for-12-2

I've been going back to some of Turnover's older, more stale sprites and trying to update them, adding detail and correcting perspective. For example, check the cabinet on the desk above for what I am trying to correct, perspective-wise.

Turnover's Steam Greenlight page is live! Please, if you've been following Turnover and would like to see it Steam, head on over and vote 'Yes'!

Now, onto the latest progress report -- http://anthonydev.tumblr.com/post/104764234241/turnover-progress-report-steam-greenlight-is

The devblog post goes into some more sprite revamps and recent optimization work.

Also, here's a quick look at Turnover as it first started vs. the Turnover of today. I thought it was a neat comparison.

you got my vote! One thing I noticed, on my laptop speakers I couldn't hear the ambient background noises much, but the speakers are kind of awful. Will you actually have music in the game, or will you be keeping it more ambient?

Hey, thanks!

As for music vs. ambient, that is up in the air right now. I like the idea of using general office noise mixed w/ an ambient soundtrack, but I'm still exploring what's best!

Also, the noises are a little quiet right now. I'm still playing with what works best.

New progress report for 1/6, the first one of the new year -- http://anthonydev.tumblr.com/post/107323515371/turnover-progress-update-for-1-6.

Progress Report for 2/10
http://anthonydev.tumblr.com/post/110645495606/turnover-progress-update-for-2-10

I rewrote the vision cone system, adding visibility. Now, cones will be blocked by obstacles instead of just being an overlay. This should better demonstrate what an enemy can and cannot potentially see.

The update also goes into tweaks to the stamina system, as well as the most recent changelog.

Edit: I have also notched the progress of Turnover in this thread up to 70%.

A short progress update this week for Turnover: http://anthonydev.tumblr.com/post/111966421751/turnover-progress-update-for-2-24

This update goes into bystander work, development milestones, and the change log since the last progress update.

Things are coming along well. It won't be long before I put together the first full version of the game together for testing. New assets are still be created, but the meat of game play work is locked down.

There is still much work to do, but an early sense of completion is beginning to emerge.

Thanks for reading!

A thrown object catching an enemy's attention. Enemies will now keep an eye out for objects that whiz by.

Milestone Update: http://anthonydev.tumblr.com/post/113882919931/turnover-milestone-update-for-3-17

Turnover is currently going through an internal test of the very first fully playable build. This is the first step in working towards a release. There is much more work to do, but it is really exciting to get a sense of the game is as a whole.

I want to say thanks to everyone who has been following this series of developer posts. Working on this game and having a chance to show it off has been a hell of a journey.

New Turnover Development Blog post - http://anthonydev.tumblr.com/post/115132482766/turnover-internal-test-update-for-3-31

Turnover's first internal test is finished and was a success. The dev blog post goes into some detail about what the major results were.

Here's an example of a change from the test. When using a security server, you can look-ahead to see what security pieces it controls.

Recently, I refreshed Turnover's website, adding a presskit. Also, Turnover's Steam Greenlight campaign page has been updated with a story synopsis and new screenshots.

New burn death animation for Sentinels.

Progress update for 5/12 - The new aiming system, sprite work, and animation work.

http://anthonydev.tumblr.com/post/118790730021/turnover-progress-update-for-5-12

This current round of testing on Turnover is nearly complete. From there, I'll give the game a decorative sweep, then put it through one more round of testing before preparing for the first release. Things are coming along great.

Turnover is entering its first round of beta testing next week. Beta 1 will be restricted to a few people, and will likely be opened up more as testing goes on.

Here are some recent changes:

Here is an updated minimap with enemy blips. Before, I drew the enemies as small version of their sprites, but they were very hard to see. Things should be much easier to see now. and enemy/friendly positions should pop out better.

Here is how Turnover is presented at various aspect ratios. I took some time recently to make sure everything looks consistent with different resolutions. Turnover was developed with 16:9 in mind, but that is no reason to restrict people who use 16:10 or 21:9 displays.

The Linux build will be ready. It is running from Steam without any problems.

The same goes for the OSX build, which will be ready for beta #2 as well.

Also coming to beta #2 is full controller support. Be sure to check the dev blog post for all of the details.
