the cash counter part of the hud seems pretty damn intrusive but otherwise this is looking all too sexy.  Well, hello there!

I agree about the HUD being bold/distracting.  Otherwise <3

Randomly picked up Spelunky and played it today, on the first run in a long time I've gotten the closest I've ever gotten to iron manning it.

Yes, that is the key from the second level laying there on my deathbed.

Can't play it; 7Zip and the latest version of WinZip keep saying the archive isn't an archive.  Shrug

Are you certain it's not a problem with downloading? I don't have winzip or 7zip but I just downloaded it to check and both winrar and windows XP can open it without any problems.

Just started playing Spelunky last night... I woke up early today before class so I could play it some more. Fantastic job!

Inspiring, especially considering this was made with Game Maker...

Yes, and then you'll be musing about getting an Xbox JUST for Spelunky...

Where are the source files for this? I downloaded the zip and checked the first page but I don't want to search 302 pages of comments to find it.  Huh?

Go to the main site. It's a separate download.

No doubt it's already been reported but you can't go into doors that don't have ground below them.   Sad

This situation will probably never happen again but thought I'd mention it.

Incredible game.

Coincidentally, Crystal Skull is currently the featured article on the Spelunky Wiki. It appears instead of the golden idol in the levels that say "The dead are restless!", and picking it up automatically triggers the ghost.

The fish seems to just be the remains of fish that ended up outside the water when the level was lowered (perhaps because of a bomb?).

In restless dead levels the fish are just bones.

Finally won it. 901 deaths and 1 win  Smiley Took about 2 years to do it.*

I totally lucked out the whole way, the best part was when a jetpack was hidden in one of the later temple bricks. Without that thing I would have been toast again.

*Yes, I realize I suck at this game
