Climbing gloves + Holding a damsel + wall = exploded damsel. Having a jetpack and cape at the same time is kinda unwieldy, since they're both controlled by the exact same button under the exact same circumstances. Maybe make using the cape up+X or make the jetpack obsolete and remove the cape when you pick it up? Edit: Could special pickups like the gloves and glasses, as well as held stuff like the shotgun, pickaxe, etc. be shown in some manner on the level end screen? For the purposes of show-offy "Look how lucky I got!" screenshots?

In script gameStepEvent: Error in code at line 17: oGame.time+=1

Has no one else noticed that you can cheat at craps? And is that a bug or a feature?
p.s. this game is awesome
Purely out of curosity and no desire to cheat myself, how?

It would be really cool if you could press the down arrow to catch onto a ladder/vine/rope as well as the up arrow. I keep going back onto ladders to go back down and pressing down and then just falling to my death.
I have to say mad props on the game I'm entirely addicted to it, and I love that you can use the Dames as weapons ha ha ha. Oh man and that you can walk through the spikes without dying unless you actually fall on them, I've been waiting for a game that does that my entire life.
Oh and I have noticed also as someone earlier that dropping a block off a ledge onto a snake only made the snake jump up on top of it instead of squishing it mightily.

Purely out of curosity and no desire to cheat myself, how? Once you roll one dice, you can keep rolling it until you roll the other one. That way, you are almost guaranteed a six (if you want to spend the time)

If you run sideways into spikes, you're A-ok. If you SLIDE sideways into spikes while stunned, you're fucked. Intentional?

why people can't simply enjoy something in the way it was meant to be? They can, I guess. But in fact... The game is not quite v1.0 sure but i don't think a lot of stuff will change and there are many things i'm sure derek doesn't want to change, maybe like the ghost, on the 1.0... I'll be pissed off of a lot of people asking me to change design things (not bugs) on my own game, even if suggestions are always welcomed even by me (really ) maybe registering to a forum only to drop a list of things that should be changed isn't very polite. That said, Derek is way more patient than me so i think it's ok, he's a very cool dude. And think about that's not only offering his awesome creation to your pleasure but also gently replying to everyone with a real problem

A lot of us would probably have posted the same thing if we were long time users. Personally, I had never heard of this forum, I just followed a link from somethingawful. I have some opinions about the game as well, but I'm kinda resigned to the fact that its unlikely im going to change anyone's mind.

It's a GREAT game, and any help one can give to the creator as far as bug reports and issues is gladly given because of how fun it is.

Well, obviously you won't change anybody's mind if you don't even post your suggestions. I doubt Derek has anything against more feedback for his unfinished game. Sure, there's a likely chance that he won't agree with your ideas, but there's also a chance that he will implement them! Besides this is the feedback forum. Feel free to post anything critical of this game that comes to mind. The goal is to make this game as good as possible, I should think, and more suggestions could do nothing but help with that goal!

And think about that's not only offering his awesome creation to your pleasure but also gently replying to everyone with a real problem This is a feedback forum. I'm aware you have quite the large post count (ooh sexy) but maybe you should let Derek decide what's worthless suggestions and such. Because right now you sound like an elitist suck-up backseat moderator and I doubt that's how you're trying to come off. Also don't mistake suggestions and ideas for demands. Nobody is pointing a gun at Derek or holding pandas for ransom here. Personally I think its great to see new blood here. Then again, I might be biased. Now for what I was originally going to post: Derek, I really appreciate how nimble and mobile you've made the player character. He's an absolute joy to control and because of this, I can blame most of my deaths on myself rather than GRRR STOOPID CONTROLS. Well actually I'd blame most of my deaths on the shopkeepers. I didn't realize I had such a klepto streak until Spelunky. It's rare to see this level of polish in an indie game and it's quite inspiring. Especially considering that it's not even v1.0 yet.
