ahaha. There was a kissing booth and prayers to kali on the same level. guess which took priority over woman placement? I was greeted with an idol and a priced woman. oh, and the shop keeper is pissed now that I picked her up.

Everything in the custom levels die in one hit. This is kind of sad. Sad I had a very good idea for a level. Also all enemies are immedietly "activated".

Been playing .99, and loving it! I finally have seen the fourth area, and I've been really enjoying the additions to the game. Well done Derek!

I lost a few of my ladies, they just disappeared whilst I was carrying them (upon collision maybe?)

I squealed with glee when I saw a SPOILER in Area 3.  Unfortunately, it was not quite as happy to see me, and was not interested in being petted.

Hm, lady troubles!  I haven't been able to replicate any of these weird damsel bugs, unfortunately.  How often does this happen and is there any place that it always seems to occur?

I'm working on a set of levels inspired by the well known kaizo-mario romhack: "The Eyeguy Caverns".

Haha, awesome! :D

If you're referring the one I mentioned, it's simply when a kissing booth and "I hear prayers to Kala" appear on the same level.

Oddly, when I reached the store, it was a craps house with the red light reserved for kissing booths.

Climbing gloves + damsel appears to be fatal 100% of the time.

Can we also get control over the lighting in the editor? I've been thinking of a Res. Evil style survival horror'ish thing and having limited lighting would be pretty essential for atmosphere.

"Sound of Rushing Waters" is my new favorite quirk level.

That's pretty funny - it's like the damsel escaped and the shopkeeper was like "I guess I'll just go into gambling instead!"

But no, sorry I wasn't clear - I know what's causing that bug.  I meant the problems with damsels exploding randomly and being hurt by small drops while carrying a damsel (although that one may ultimately be unrelated).

Hm, yeah I noticed that in the feedback reports for the last build, but I also couldn't replicate it for myself.  I'll put in something that should prevent it anyway, though.

Hm, I noticed this in the feedback reports for the last version, but I couldn't replicate it, either, which is troubling.  I'll add something that prevents it, anyway.

Anyone suggested this? Level One only exit-to-menu at entrance?

Great game. Procedural generation for the win.

I agree this game is hard, but once the bugs are ironed out I think it will be fair. For now, fighting most enemies except snakes and bats is usually more trouble than it is worth. Losing damsels to corners or ceilings sucks. I've also been able to snag gems that are inside blocks by touching the corner.

I don't know it it is intentional, but I keep encountering trees that I cannot climb: the highest branch is not high enough for me to reach the top. This seems like a mistake.

I've also noticed that 0.99 seems more picky about the edge of platforms when I try a running jump. As in, I run and try to jump, and I am on the platform, but I don't jump at all.

Anyway, this is a great game. I'd love to see an alternate version where it's an infinite cave. No loading screens, just a cave that goes on forever. A kind of, "see how deep you can go" thing.

Found a small bug -- may not be new to 0.99, but this is the first time I've noticed it.

The tutorial level can be started with special level conditions -- I got the "Snakes, I hate snakes" message.   No snake pit, though.   Not sure if it could start up as a dark level, which I guess would be the worst case scenario for someone new just starting the game since it'd leave them stumbling around blind.

I joined just now just to post this idea I had about the caveman:

how about if the caveman picks up and runs off with the woman if he ever sees and gets into contact with her (if caveman hits player, player drops woman...)

(maybe caveman shouldnt be allowed into kissing booth though.

really great game btw!
