impressive stuff!!!
Cheers!
how do you relate with customers?
Do they always have a sonic image of what they want?
Often they do: In advertising film it's quite common to work with
moods (which work more or less like temp tracks) in addition to a solid briefing.
Composing could then be anything from creating a
soundalike to scoring film scenes in a very classical sense - and anything in between.
In any case, most clients know we're the experts when it comes to music and sound and will give us the opportunity to address potential problems regarding music choice etc.
I'd really like to give a shot at cm music, but looks like agencies don't wanna give a shot at me
(i.e. gotta make more experience
)
Quality composition is what most people can offer.
What ad agencies look for (even if they don't know it) is professional service, flexibility, speed, and ideally good accessibility to your studio rooms.
It helps if you can offer services besides composition: voice-over recording, sound design, mixing etc. - post production is a huge field! So much stuff goes on air that needs to sound right.
And like I wrote before, getting good jobs (be it in advertisement, film, music or game industry) mostly means you made friends before-hand, built up trust, made a name for yourself and your studio, surrounded yourself with people you can still learn from... these things take time and effort, and they never stop.
Best of luck!
