Despite not knowing much in javascript except for its basic syntax, I experimented with enchantjs and got a simple game running in a few hours. It also work on iPod touch 4, iPhone, iPad and Android. Whee!

I got bored the other day and did this, a simple script that takes a black-and-white image and builds it within the game. The game is Blockland, and each non-white pixel in the image is represented as a black brick. Originally meant to build QR codes, I decided to try an actual picture. Smiley

I have platform-specific code running with my app, making life so much more awesome!  Grin
The core stuff is all platform agnostic with SFML, but nice little adornments like proper Mac OS X menu bar integration(among other things) et al can now be achieved! It's beautiful!

Laurent needs to get rid of all Carbon dependencies for SFML 2.0 or SFML creations will make OS X go "NOPE! NEED CARBON. SO SAYETH THE STEVE."

I looked in the source and it appears to be only the joystick code that relies on carbon.

I'm sure he will, Laurent is a beast when in comes to fixing problems. He commits fixes and updates more an any other project I've ever seen.

I've been doing this for years (apart from the SFML stuff) and people just laughed at me for not wimping out and using some windowing wrapper library.

I think having an application that actually looks like it belongs on each platform is well worth the extra work, and it's really not even that much work.

qft Beer!

It's just a matter of having a class or two stuffed with platform-specific stuff, and obviously time and support!

Yes! I agree completely.
Also worth mentioning that I got the idea to do this from you, so yeah.  Gentleman

Well, I got the idea from the Quake 3 source.  So as always, John Carmack is the source of all that is good in the world.
