Hi all,

I'm building Vixle: A Game Engine for Everyone. It's mash-up of Minecraft, Scratch, and Lua, which enables novices and experts to build games side-by-side. All creation is done from within the game engine (including textures, models, animation, sound, and code), so it really blurs the lines between building and playing. The format encourages the creation of game vignettes, which may later blossom into full games.

Vixle is ideal for kids and parents, groups of friends, classes of students, or teams in a game jam. I've also commissioned modern versions of the 1980s Micro Adventure coding game books, which will include coding challenges that play out on Vixle.

We've been working on it for over a year, and are Kickstarting now to get us to beta at the end of this year, and to find invested alpha testers.

Check out the project at vixle.com or check out our Kickstarter at www.kickstarter.com/projects/realityfoil/vixle-a-game-engine-for-everyone.

I'd love to hear what you think!
