Hi everyone, just wanted to say that my game Vinkelvolt, a 2D/3D platform puzzle game, was just released on the iOS App Store and can be found at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/vinkelvolt/id878304297?ls=1&mt=8.
More information can be found in my short DevLog: http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=40435.0

The game features similar mechanics to games such as Ortho Robot and Fez in that the game is played from different 2D perspectives and the world can be rotated in 3D to switch between them. The game is structured in 30 levels, each focusing on a different puzzle using that mechanic. Below are some screenshots and gifs of the game.

Would be happy to hear any feedback!

Just bought. I like the art style, it has a texture/style to it that makes the visuals more than just boring geometric shapes

Maybe it's just me but the star times for the first few levels, where you have to reach the end in one second, seem impossible. Best I can get on level 1 is 1.5, best on 3 is 1.3

But so far I'm enjoying it. The controls feel solid and responsive, I like the art style, and I enjoy games where you manipulate perspective.

How many more levels are you thinking adding?

There's a Toucharcade thread for your game.

Someone else was asking about beating level 1 in one second

Thank you so much for the feedback and the link to the Touch Arcade forums. I hope to develop the game further based on input from users.

I hope to add another 10 levels in v1.1 during the next month or so and gradually add toward my goal of 100 levels.

As for beating the first level in <1 seconds, it is all about rotating the level. Since time stops when you rotate, you simply start rotating the perspective as soon as you start falling from the starting position and position the goal directly below you, in that way you beat the level in 0.5s seconds. This might be a spoiler for but I hope that is OK, as it is a core mechanic in many levels later on.

Again, as a new game developer it feels so great to hear from others playing your game, so thank you!

Aha! I didn't realize that time stopped when you rotated the level.

Oh, and yeah that's why I love TIGForum, finding a cool game like this from a new developer. I had been following the devlog as well. Vinkelvolt isn't exactly the most original game, since games like Percepto and Monument Valley are on IOS, but I like how challenging this game is. I'm still on the first ten levels and I'm finding some of these quite tricky. I also like that achieving the level time is less about racing against the clock and more about figuring how to use the rotation in the most optimal way.

I agree with the feedback in the TA thread about the option to switch the controls around. Also think it would be helpful if you could 1) pause the game and see the star requirements for a level and 2) if there was an option to "Replay level" after you complete a level. Right now there is only tap to continue; it would be faster than going back to the level screen and selecting the level again
