Sorry I'm a day or so late, I've been with family, and haven't been looking at TIGforums as much. Here's version 3!

TIGForum Devlog Showcase Impmaster version #3 (18/7/15)

-------

This week, the games featured include:

  • Poncho!
  • The Little Acre
  • Observer
  • Doors
  • Beneath the Tower!

Poncho!
Devlog || Twitter
Explore this 2D world by moving in 3D parallax layers. A wall is blocking your path? You can go in front it. There's treasure off in the background, far away In the distance? You can go there at the touch of a button. The world of Poncho has no limits on the Z plane...

The Little Acre
Devlog || Twitter
Adventure game. Gameplay features two play styles combined. Firstly, the traditional side view for point-and-click adventures. Then, at a certain point in the game the player will travel to another world. When this happens we switch it up and make it isometric.

Observer
Devlog || Facebook
Make your way through several worlds, each stranger than the last, unstuck in time and space.

Doors
Devlog || Twitter
Everything is based on one simple concept; use logic to determine where you will go. Be careful - some doors lead to bacon, while others lead to death.

Beneath The Tower!
Devlog
Beneath The Tower is a squad-based roguelike, where you need to manage your party, find loot, explore procedurally generated levels and fight your way through populated them creatures.

Day or so early today. I'm going to be without my laptop for the next few days, so there may not be a devlog showcase next week.

TIGForum Devlog Showcase Impmaster version #4 (23/7/15)

-------

This week, the games featured include:

  • The Maestros
  • My Beautiful Journey with Cancer
  • Arena Gods
  • Space Grunts
  • NeuroVoider
  • BitUp
  • DWARVES

The Maestros - Resourceless RTS with Transforming Armies
Devlog || Twitter
The Maestros is an online multiplayer RTS (real-time strategy) game set in a humorous fantasy world where you control a commander and his squadron of wildy cuddly and mildly vicious minions.

My Beautiful Journey With Cancer - 2D side-scrolling platformer
Devlog || Twitter
My Beautiful Journey With Cancer (MBJWC) is a 2D side-scrolling platformer where you play as me. The games levels will represent milestones throughout my whole cancer experience.

Arena Gods - A Vicious Local Multiplayer Arena Game
Devlog || Twitter
Arena Gods is a vicious local multiplayer gladiatorial arena game where weapons are scarce, anything can be thrown, and one hit kills.

Space Grunts sci-fi turn based rogue like
Devlog || Twitter
Turn Based Game, a genre I absolutely hate.

NeuroVoider - twin-stick shooter RL - Revamped
Devlog || Twitter
Futuristic twin-stick shooter RPG with tons of loot and procedural content.

BitUp || Side Scrolling Hack'n'Slash in a 3D-Impressionist World
Devlog || Twitter
BitUp is a side scrolling, exploration Hack-N'-Slash game in a 3D-Impressionist world. A game kept hidden by its legendary creator, while its protagonist looks for answers.

DWARVES --- Update: Project 'Horde', now officially announced! Trailer!
Devlog || Twitter
DWARVES is going to be a party RPG with physics-based combat based on the story and world of the Dwarves book series by Markus Heitz.

So, I don't think I'll post a devlog next week. But please comment and tell me what you like or do not like! It's good to hear from the few people who've liked the effort I've put into looking.

Thanks for that. I keep forgetting this exists. And the devlog is pretty crowded, any kind of curation (am I using that word right?) is great.

Don't know how I missed BitUp.

Love the books, really looking forward to the DWARVES. Actually we backed the tabletop Kickstarter as well.

Is anyone managing the front-page and features sections of Tigsource or the more editorial part here on the forums? It feels orphaned to me, and far from maximizing its potential!

Is this a commercial or a community problem? I am sure if it is the second that there would be enough folks to help out and get this into shape! If it's a commercial issue I suggest Patreon.

Cheers,
Joachim

I wish there was an update to this thread.

There are so many games on TIGSource and this turns up a lot of hidden gems.
