Somewhere in Nevada
Blink In An Alternate Universe With Floating Islands And Bad Guys Blink

This is a wave based shmup platformer about a lil dude trying to rid the world of the color stealing bandits that base their devious operations on floating islands in the sky.
Do you have the guts it takes to smash those shit eating, color thieving bad guys?

This is a side project of mine. Whenever I'm not working on my main project I work on this.
Currently I have basic shooting, abilities and enemy AI implemented.

Here's a few screenshots of what I've got so far:

Any feedback would be appreciated. does it sound fun? How could I improve the style?

Here's an early mock-up of a boss. Not quite sure how he'd play out yet though.

Your boss reminds me of one of the bosses in Bubsy. You could maybe have him shoot at you while the player has to dodge it and get on a higher ledge to shoot at the cockpit.

Yeah something along those lines would work. I was thinking of having him fly overhead for awhile shooting down beam attacks that you have to dodge. Then after a bit he becomes attackable.

Today I worked on making the game feel better. I added screen shake and made the enemies flash when they get hit.

I'm not very good at making GIFs yet. But here's my attempt.
