With a character as round as this I would love to see him roll down slopes instead of sliding. I like this though, reminds me of those little ball maze puzzles you could get from Happy Meals at McDonalds. In a good way!

thanks! tried a thing where the character rotated but it made the pixels look all ugly. It's not so bad on the background though

Why not just hand animate the rolling and then iterate through the frames based on movement? Hell, you could make a convincing role animation with just 8 frames.

That's not a bad idea, but I like the squashy body. Maybe I will add a power up where you get fat and then I'll roll that one Smiley

In my method of creating gifs I dont have full control of the colors, so I'm going to have to simplify the colors a bit

I'm this close  Hand Point Right ---- Hand Point Left to  just animating a role and squash animation for you, man. The character looks so lifeless just sliding like that. It could work to some cool comedic effect though if done the right way.

This looks fun. I totally agree about the static figure its the first thing I thought of. Even if he starts flapping his arms as soon as he leaves the platform. That glitchness looks awesome! Tell me your secrets!

Sorry no, I don't quite understand shaders yet. One day I will have to sit down and learn some OpenGL or what ever the shaders are written in so I can have fun and manipulate it the same way I do with surfaces.

Right, after seeing nt's animation my character does look really lifeless and I do wanna have it roll or something
