Hey folks,

My team recently put our documentary comedy web series / video game series on Steam Greenlight and would love your votes and your feedback! (http://www.indievangamejam.com/greenlight)

What is Indie Van Game Jam?

The Indie Van Game Jam is a documentary comedy web series where we travel around the country, interview independent game developers, and make a game on the way in our van. Each episode explores a new city, an indie dev, and an aspect of game design that we feel they have mastered. Each episode shows the game from conceptualization to completion. On our website, http://www.indievangamejam.com, you can watch the 20 minute episode and then download the game that was made instantly.

Why Steam Greenlight?

For each 20 minute episode we have around 10 hours of film. For each jam we have countless ideas unrealized. We want to provide even more video content and fleshed out games in a single package similar to a DVD Box Set.

There are a lot of interesting bits in the nine and a half hours of unreleased footage that just didn't make the cut. There's more in-depth programming, art, and sound effect work. We usually had interesting but off-topic chats with the game developers we visited. We even filmed two cities before fully realizing the concept that could become special episodes.

On the game-side, watch either of the two episodes on our site and it's easy to see we had a lot of ideas that we wouldn't be able to get into each game. Some of our games just need a little polish and twice the content to be worth their own release. One of the games was a complete failure that we just might be able to save.

When would it be available?

There's a lot of content here. We finished filming in early February. We have been editing footage like crazy and thus far have released two episodes. I have been working on the launcher that we would use as our Steam application and it is weeks away from completion. Our plan would be to launch shortly after being accepted with all of the content available at the time. That means it would start with two episodes of the show, about two hours of special features, and two bonus game jams that we are including with the package.

We would like to submit an update every two weeks or so, whether that's some special features and a game update or an entirely new episode. We hope to be done by the Winter of 2014.

Please, if you could provide feedback on the campaign or just donate a yes vote, we would greatly appreciate it.
