I was thinking about this question and looking my favourite ost cds I realized that is not as standard as I thought. There are some people who uses two loops and other people use only one.

I want to do a bandcamp and then release an album of a game Im doing, so I wanted to know your opinion.

I think it matters what kind of tracks you're dealing with, but I would generally go with two loops, especially with shorter tracks (like under a minute to a minute and a half). I've always been a fan of tracks that last a while and give you some time to get situated.

Yeah, two "loops" (so two times through - technically you could say this is one time through + one loop) then a fade has been the standard for as long as I've been listening to vgm. Obviously certain soundtracks don't lend themselves as well to looping, and you shouldn't feel like you have to conform to this model, but that's usually the sweet spot.

A while back I did something like this and my process was basically...
1:30 or more: one loop
0:20 - 1:30: two loops
0:20 or less: three or more loops

Just to get consistent lengths.

I voted myself one loop. Most of the times when I buy an ost is because I have played the game a lot and I enjoyed listening to the music as well. In this situation I know the music already enough, and I want to hear more and more and more, so when the music repeats 2 times is redundant somehow.

At the point of relistening everything, I know the music well and what I want is to revisit the game so I become impatient. Just listening the whole soundtrack can sometimes bring me those strong feelings I had when playing the game
