I really like the atmosphere, but I feel as though the smiley face character and the music really takes away from the experience. I think you should add some darker music and have a more mysterious and unknown character. Maybe similair to the character from the game LIMBO. Concerning the main character it has to do with the story/concept of the game which will be introduced at the beginning.
