I see you mixed some different camera concepts in your screenshots/gifs.
Which camera behaviours are you going to use?

In the world map the camera rotates around the character, and in the platforming levels the camera just follows the character on one angle. There's also a bit different concept that I might use, but it's super secret

The gif running around the pillar really reminds me of Klonoa. Nice work, I love that game and it's sequel. Is the art direction final, or will you be changing it up in the future?

I actually played Klonoa 1 for the first time not that long ago, really charming game!

I don't think that the art direction itself will change much but lot of the art assets are not final. Hopefully. Depends how lazy I am Embarrassed

Putting some stuff on the world map. Changed couple of textures and added some stuff. You can use that sheep as a jump boost Hand Thumbs Up Left

btw these last two gifs aren't from normal levels, they are mini gamey things that can be found from the world map on hidden arcade machines. They're not hard to find, but it's something to reward the player for exploring a bit.

Huh, I was all about Jak back in the day so that's kinda surprising! I really liked Insomniacs designs though

Wow! This looks really fun! Reminds me too of my favorite classics like Spyro The Dragon, Jak and Daxter, Crash Bandcoot and Ratchet & Clank. Really looking forward to this, definitely following.

I've decided to put my twitter to good use and post some random pics from RA, stuff that I don't think I should post here.

So follow me if you want I don't care

I've been thinking about just scrapping the world map... making the world map takes a lot of time from making the normal levels and even though I like the idea of open world between levels, I just can't make it interesting to walk around. I'm probably gonna make a level select hub like in Crash 2 and 3. In the end, it's the levels that matter the most... and I feel like they should be much better than they are right now.

Really loving this influx in PS1/N64 style 3D platformers I've been seeing lately.  This looks incredibly fun!  I'm definitely getting a big Croc vibe from it so far.

We desperately need a video! Smiley

I'm not a big fan of the toon shader, it makes 3d objects look like sprites to me.

@zorg they do look 3D in the actual game, the quality of the gifs makes them look 2D. Though some stuff like the enemy eyes are actually sprites

So anyone wanna help me out a bit?

I need input on this level, it's about the camera. I want to know if you have any trouble moving around, making the right jumps etc. Of course feel free to comment on any other aspects of the game.

btw you need unity web player!
