Maybe the fact that the stickies are up at the top and removed from the rest of the pack makes it harder to notice them, but I am always shocked at how many new threads pop up each week here looking for work as a composer/sound designer.

This is a sub-forum where audio people congregate to discuss game audio. Even if there weren't explicit instructions from the mods NOT to post here looking for work, and even if there weren't other clearly labeled sub-forums dedicated to portfolios/collaborations/paid work, why would a composer want to ask other composers if they need music for their game?

I like that it's rather strictly moderated here though (i help where i can)
if this subforum were flooded with people posting job offers/requests I doubt anyone from the community would still stick around

folks are gonna be folks, people are gonna disregard stickies, that's life


also, the portfolios section is oversaturated with composers looking for work. how horrible it would have been if they ALL came here to advertise their services
