Hi,
I almost finished my game.
I have dialog in it and translated it to English.

The problem is: I'm not sure if everything sounds right.

My idea:
- You look over my translation and correct what's wrong.
- I translate your game to German.

My game:

I'll happily look it over if you can punt it all over to me in English. I think my email address is on my profile... No need for reciprocation, though - just happy to help.

I've been thinking for a while that there should be a website for crowdsourcing translations.  Which makes me feel dumb for not having Googled for it previously.

I just found http://ackuna.com/ which seems to offer a free platform for crowdsourced translations and then offeres professional translation as well.  All the others I found seemed to want money up front, but I didn't do an exhaustive search.

Anyhow, my point is that perhaps you could use some software like this that makes it easier to get translations from volunteers, and then more than 1 person could help you with your translation easily.

Thanks a lot for your replies.
Crowdsourced translations sounds very interesting.

I already uploaded the game to Google and Apple. It's now available for Android. Apple has to review it first.
I didn't spread the word yet. It's kind of a soft release to see how everything works.

If the dialog needs changes I'll update the game.

This post has lead me to believe that we might need a general thread in the "Writing" section about "Translating and Editing Requests".

Yeah, that would be great.

---

This is how we do the proofreading now:

I created a Google sheet for the dialog and invited the people that are willing to help.
This way people can work on it simultaneously.

There is still some proofreading to do. So if more people want to help that would be great. And as I said in my first post, I'll help you out as well if you need help with a translation to German.
