== About The Game ==
Best described as a single player,  rogue lite/adventure in a humorous sci-fi setting. Play through the eyes of a spiffy space adventurer captain as he roams the galaxy with his AI companion, meeting friend and foe alike. Combat space pirates; find hidden treasure; interact with the local inhabitants, and either assist them with their problems, or blow them up and take their stuff. Who knows? Either way you might regret your earlier decision due to follow-up events. The game calls on the humorous spirit of early adventure games such as Space Quest, and the wit of television shows such as Futurama.

This is a medium-size game with features such as a main storyline, fast-paced ATB combat, ship customization, exploration, and side missions.

== About The Team / What You Can Expect From The Project ==
* We're a hard-working, friendly group of individuals to collaborate with (consisting of 2 programmers, 1 3d artist, 1 2d artist, 1 game designer, and 1 writer).
* Active communication (weekly Sunday Skype voice meeting (9pm est.) and shared group chat on Skype)
* A game that you can directly contribute your ideas to (all ideas for the game are considered)
* Organized team management/progress (we use products from Atlassian for their wiki, ticketing system, scrum board, and code repository)
* We've all been working together since around September 2013, and are in this for the long haul of creating a great, polished game

== Requirements ==
* Experience working with Unity3D (general usage and creating art assets)
* Experience creating Unity3D shaders (either with a plugin like Shader Forge or from scratch)
* Experience creating particle effects using the shuriken system
* Experience creating 3D models, textures, and simple animations
* Passionate about games and game development
* Interested in science fiction
* Active and accessible contributor (all of us work at full-time day jobs, but still regularly contribute to the game, and are available for communication on Skype)
* Can attend online, weekly meetings through Skype on Sundays at 9pm est. (length is usually 2-3 hours)
* Can contribute around 10-20 hours a week
* In or close to eastern time zone (OR are easily accessible for communication purposes and the weekly meeting)

== Responsibilities ==
* Assist with art direction
* Create shaders and particle effects using Unity3D and related plugins
* Work with other 3D artist to create models (e.g. space monsters, space junk, etc.), textures, and simple animations where needed
* Provide constructive feedback for ideas from other teammates

== Compensation ==
* Profit share
