I just had to start this thread because I love me some good ol' games (lol, what??). My favorite newer isn't a retro game, and some may say I'm not a true gamer or something along the lines of that, but, I really just love "Last Of Us". It truly puts everything together that makes a game, from the awesome story line to the beautiful graphics, "never-dull" gameplay, and so on. That being said, in retrospect, I would definitely have to choose Banjo-Kazooie, hands down.

Ok, I fixed it, haha. I didn't mean it in that way. It is just never talked about (atleast around me).

cave story counts as old now, it's been out for a decade. that and super monkey ball 2 are more or less tied.

for super old, then, sonic cd, shinobi 3, and comix zone

for new, fez, the last of us, and ratchet and clank future: a crack in time

i don't have a single favorite, that's impossible

I guess I do have more favorites, but I was just thinking if there was a game I had to play and beat every day of my life... Last of Us for sure. and also Super Monkey Ball 2 is amazing haha

OLD: Marvel vs Capcom 1/2, Cave story, Sly Cooper 2, shadow of the colossus
NEW: Street Fighter IV, Skullgirls, Persona 4 arena, anything by platinum

I really can't decide just one...

Three-way tie: Super Mario Bros. 3, Yoshi's Island, and An Untitled Story. If I absolutely had to choose one of them to put in the top spot, it'd probably be AUS.

It has to be Ninja Spirit, i still remember that old arcade machine parked in front of sweet/cafe shop near our elementary schooly, with its glowing screen with huge scan lines;-) Cant remember how many times i sold my lunch ticket from school just to throw the money inside that diabolical machine. Have great memories about it;-)

Dota 2

I think I'll go with this as well, as my opinion keeps shifting regarding all other games. But I always come back to Dota... I think I need my fix now.

Darwinia. I found it at the perfect time, I was very bored with games. I just get this feeling when I play it, I love those little green guys.

The original Zelda.
In elementary school I played this probably more than any other game. It was so rewarding to figure things out, to discover something that wasnt pointed out explicitly in the game. I remember finding the third sword after beating the game a few times having never known there was a third sword. It was such a fun feeling to get excited over a game after several playthroughs!
