Sure, it's not an indie game, but I recently got Guild Wars (always wanted to try it out) and I've been wondering if anyone around here plays on there too? It's nowhere near as interesting a game if you can't find anyone to party with. I'm still enjoying it, surprisingly, though, because that basically makes it a solo RPG, but some other people would be nice too . So, any GW peoples here?

I've played it three years ago. Have never touched it since then. Now am not able to play it anymore cause I have no Windows anymore (Linux is my System).

I don't touch MMO's, but I do believe a Comrade of mine has played upward of 2000 hours game time. During his final year of school, natch. Boggles the mind. Believe he had to go cold turkey when his computer died, though. Muchos pain. I think he's stopped, now.
In retrospect, that post didn't really help much. Other than in reference to the whole "I'm still enjoying it, surprisingly." Sorry.

I played for a few years when it first came out (all expansions). It is much more fun when you have people to play with; the PvP scene was pretty intense and a boatload of awesome if you had a functional team and could coordinate over Skype. I haven't played in a few months though.... PvE gets boring and redundant once you've beaten all the campaigns, and the metagame for PvP was changing too quickly for our schedules to keep up. Now we're all just waiting for GW2. I know when I used to play, every outpost was packed with players, but I imagine it's much more barren these days. You could add me to your list if you like, though as I said, I'm rarely on there. The screen name is Nava Penthesilea (i think that's how I spelled it haha)

Oh, Guild Wars...
I used to be very into its PvP. Fortunalety, meta changes and power creep made me drop it and reclaim my life.
Good game... but I'm not gonna get into an MMO ever again.

Now we're all just waiting for GW2. I feel like this sentiment is shared by a lot of former GW players. I played it for about a year pretty obsessively, I was into the PvE aspect of the game, which basically means I was into farming and making tons of money. GW is a great game, and the fact that you don't have to pay monthly makes it even better, it's just hard to keep people's attention for that long when your product really doesn't change. Sure, they had a few expansions, but if you've played one, you've played them all.
