As per the title, has anyone ever exhibited a dark game at an expo that has a bright environment?

If so, do you have any tips to solve the problem of screen glare, and a massive reduction of the atmosphere?

I have a horror game that I demoed yesterday at a venue that was wayyy too bright, and even with the gamma right up it was hard to see anything.  I've got more expos to go to, but other than putting the game on OR or putting a tent up over the screen, I'm not sure what the best approach would be.  Any suggestions?

put a tent up

no, literally

put a tent up

a tiny little booth

there's a reason so many arcade cabinets have canopies

if nothing else, have a small canopy above the screen

Yeah I was thinking of a canopy of some sort.  Are there any household (or specialized) ones that might be suitable that won't too ridiculous?   Grin
