Games you wanted to play but never really got around to. The ever-expanding backlog of doom. We all know the feeling. Just let it all out, post those games you've been meaning to play for months/years but never have. Consider this thread some inspration to go and play that shit.

Transistor! I bought it on release because of all the hype, and then it just started collecting dust on my Steam games shelf. I'm gonna play it someday.

Games in Steam library: 276 Games I've "played"*: 140
Over 50%!!! Not bad
*Meaning, I've at least launched the game and fiddled around in the first level. Probably about half of these games, that's as far as I got.
A more curated list of games which I have the intention of finishing, have played a fair amount of, but have stopped playing so long ago that to go back would mean probably starting again:
Bayonetta Final fantasy X Fez Dark Souls 2 The Witcher 2 Persona 3 Path of Exile Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks Mark of the Ninja Fallout: New Vegas
The list of games I own which I have never even touched, but intend to at some point, is much more extensive.
(this is one reason why I enjoy fighting games, there is no forgetting the story/having to start again, you just get a little rusty after not playing for a while. I tend to find my skill actually increases after a gap of a few months, once I've shaken off the dust.)

I keep wanting to go and finish the unique squad spaceship RPG Star Wolves, and go on to play SW 2 and 3.
Starpoint Gemini 2 and Shadow of Mordor are looking really tempting right now.
Instead, I've been playing online games. :/

I have Kirby's Epic Yarn and played the intro but haven't been able to get back to it, which is sad because it seems super fun and cute.

I've got something like 80 out of 270 games in my Steam library that I still need to get through (I'm getting there!). Most looking forward to eventually playing the following:
- Age of Empires 2 HD - Avadon 2: The Corruption - The Banner Saga - CS:GO - DEFCON - Enemy Mind - Frozen Synapse - Hard Reset - Hero of Many - Left 4 Dead 2 - The Loot Castle - One Finger Death Punch - Red Faction: Guerilla - Sleeping Dogs - Stronghold HD - Wanderlust: Rebirth (this one requires friends to play with, unfortunately) - Worms 2
Not all of the games I have to play, obviously, just the ones I'm really looking forward to when I have the time.

Way too numerous to mentoin, I think I've got around 200 games on Steam I never really played. Actually, I'd not play about 80% of them, I just happened to have them from random bundles.
I also have a growing backlog of comics too (aka graphic novels in hipster language), but that's easier to manage, and is actually shrinking as time goes...

Here I thought I was the only one! Actually, I have been obsessing over Killing Floor lately and not playing anything other than that. I even bought Monster Hunters 3 Ultimate on the Wii U and have yet to really play it at all, and I was excited for it to be released.

Still meaning to play Shadow of Chernobyl but I've got myself stuck in a Rising Storm hole, physically cannot stop playing that game. I got through all of Call of Pripyat and loved every second of it but I've heard first S.T.A.L.K.E.R is best S.T.A.L.K.E.R. One day, one day...

I don't play as much games as I used to, so I try to be careful about hoarding too many stuff. Especially with all those bundles out there that makes it way too easy to build a gaming equivalent of the Library of Alexandria. But now that I've wrapped up my own project, I can finally afford to go through my old collection. There's still a few that I haven't finished like Dark Souls, Thief II & III, Mark of the Ninja, and Torchlight II. One day I may even pick up Deus Ex and System Shock 2 again, which I enjoyed but barely played back then..
