I definitely understand why they can't have 8 player matches, but not getting the customisable modes, item frequency adjustment, event matches, tournaments, coin and stamina mode is annoying.
I would also like target smash again, but there's probably way too many characters now and it'd be yet another mode where you can't use customisable characters.

Finally got a copy. I went into this with a fighting game mentality at first and did not really like the game.
After playing for a while I realized I need to have more of a powerstone mentality and then the game became more fun.
A lot of the characters are really similar though. Fox and Falco for instance.

Smash is a fighting game that has another element to it. Momentum. The Game wont feel like a fighting game till you understand how to gain a positional advantage using it. Otherwise it'll feel a bit like RPS.

I still need to actually play this with real people, only tried it once online with a friend in the US and that was pretty horrible, game has a weird way to compensate for lag.

the lag system seems to be something like "stop the game everytime each player doesn't respond". I'd say about 2/3rds of my games have been fine though

Yeah I should try out the general online so I play against local people, wonder how laggy that'll be.
It's kind of weird that this game doesn't have download play and limit your character and stage selection.

I'm just sad that Lucas and Pokemon Trainer were left out of the game  Hopefully there will be more characters to be discovered through DLC |
