Hi,

Is anyone have an idea on how they did the shiny effect on the grass in photoshop? I saw it in many games.

Unless you mean the soft focus blur because in that case just superimpose the image with a blurry copy of it. I think there's a "lens blur" effect too that does something like that.

Seems like just some blobs of yellow smudged with a blending brush or the smudge tool in Photoshop. Maybe an airbrush as well. The correct way to to do this would be to render using a soft edged brush and not clean up the edges where you want to simulate the blur.

new layer: a stroke of a Soft brush with lighter warmer green? Does it animate?

It animates.

In my game, i made:

Copy of the image in new layer > gaussian blur > linear light (or dodge) > change brightness or contrast.

It did the effect i wanted.
