I just have to say, you guys are awesome. The community on this forum is astoundingly easy-going, specifically about age stuff. I know this isn't a problem for 99% of the people on the internet, but I'm not very old, and it's refreshing to communicate and share with others without being treated rudely because of my age, not naming any sites... *cough* reddit *cough*. I guess this is just an all around thanks for how welcoming and nice you all are.

i'm 17 and I've only ever seen "age discrimination" when someone acts like a complete moron or does something of the sort like as long as you act like a normal human being, I don't think there's really much age discrimination in other parts of the internet, even reddit (not to say it's completely nonexistent unfortunately)

Yeah, I guess saying discrimination is an overstatement, I just couldn't think of a different word.

yeah dude
fun fact: i've been a member of forums (not this forum, but forums period) since i was 8 years old. not a single time in that time have i been harassed or whatever for how old i was. plenty of people, even years and years back, thought i was much older than i was, even. we're talking a difference of 12 years being mistaken for late twenties, in some cases.
that said: this probably reflects poorly on the way most people act online
should investigate further
anyway yeah you seem cool i guess

Nah, it's just that people tend to only use it when it's severe.

Yeah, too often young people use the internet as a place to be unintelligent. Actually, even some adults...

Very much this, as others said you can be very young on the internet and no one could even notice. I don't even think 15 is really that young, I'd say that if someone speaks dumspeak at age of 15 then there's high chance he will still speak it when he's 25 or older. I also started writing on forums relatively early, at age 12 I think... don't remember having any problems because of it even though I was making really stupid spelling mistakes. PS: I so wish I started making games at your age, I had so much free time in high school... And your game already looks like you have quite some experience!

Thanks, started when I was 11, so I do have a bit of experience.

I started my first company when I was 16. Jason Rubin and Andy Gavin cofounded Naughty Dog when they were 16, funded by their parents. I just attended a Voxiebox demo this week where there were three 13-year-olds who had started their own game studio.
There's always someone younger trying to do something with their passion. Age is not an obstacle.
