Note that this is a paid opportunity. If you think you can help with this project, please send me an email at dr [-dot-] brewster [-at-] gmail [-dot-] com.

Here is the task: We have an iOS app in the iTunes store that we have already created an Android version of, but we are not able to make the 3D processes work on the Android side.
We need an Android coder experienced with 3D in the Android environment to help us finish up the app so we can release it. See below for the specific tasks we need and links to the existing iOS app.

   - Take existing 3D .pod files, import them into the android environment, and make them work as they do in the current iOS app (we have the Maya source files for all the .pod formats and have other formats as well such as .3ds)

   - Match the "take a photo" feature of the iOS app where a user can input their face onto an existing 3D model

   - Create importer for the app that will allow for importing 3D PLY files made from X-ray style scans in a hospital  to Android environment (we solved this problem on the iOS side by creating a converter that converted .ply files into .pod files)

Note that the iOS app was coded natively in Xcode, and we used Cocos3d to handle the 3D elements described above. However, we have found that this will not work on the Android side.

Please below on how to search for  current version of app here for iPad and iPhone below. Note that we are only make an Android phone version for now, so the iPhone link below might be the most relevant.

Search for "Medical Avatar Oakwood" in App Store for iOS

Thanks!
Scott
