Just came back from the one hosted in Hamar , Norway.
It was two of my co-workers who organized it. Proper fun at the partyplace, and a lot of students with cool projects as well.

http://globalgamejam.org/games/sunbun-sky-diamondsWe made a game called "sunbun in the sky with diamonds", which is a top-down shooter with a rez-like shoot mechanic. The theme was "When we're together, we'll never run out of problems". Our attack on it was dual; the gameplay mechanic with enemy spawnpoints and enemies which causes endless amount of problems, and the story, which is about a person with ODC that has a brain which causes problems, so when brain and person is together; problems arise.
I'm really looking forward to playing all the games, or at least a lot of them, and to participating in next years event
