I've been watching the progress of this game over the last year or so and it is great to see how far it has come. The art has just gotten better and better. Keep up the great work.

Well, sorry. :D It's on my to-play list, though. Tongue

Thank you! Smiley Yeah, it's crazy how far it's come, considering I wasn't expecting it to come this far. I didn't even want to sell it from the start, just wanted to finish a little game, but it turned out a bit bigger.

Started creating a new promo picture for the game.

This is where im at for now. The caveman will be on the Ptero's back.

If you got any suggestions on how to improve it, spit it out. Smiley

Unless you're using a fish eye lense, the back half of the bottom jaw shouldn't be visible.
This is what the front view would be:

Okay that's the worst visual example ever, but I hope I'm illustrating the error here.
Besides that, the sprite looks great!

You're right. But i just realised it after you pointed it out. It still doesn't really bother me, it's kinda not that kind of wrong perpective that catches your eye immediatly and tells you there is something wrong.

Ahh, I see. The way I was trying to draw it was that it's supposed to be a little from the front, not from the side. So the jaws would make sense that way, because they're open really wide. But I guess my lightning doesn't seem to give that perspective

I mean it is possible for it to be visible if one side of the mouth is a lot less open than the other  Tongue

Huh, I see. Looking at those sketches, my idea of the perspective for the ptero was supposed to be the very bottom one. But I think I have it drawn completely incorrect, like the head of the ptero is more sideways, when it should be more to the front of the screen, so it looks weird, I'll try to fix the perspective somehow.

Anyways, this is where I've gotten with the body for now, but now I think that's it's completely wrong too. :| I just can't draw on big canvas.. :D Will have to redraw a lot of stuff.

Alright, so I tried fixing the pteros perspective. It seems like it's better now.

Definately better this way, the perspective of the jaw was a bit weird before.
Your game looks super fun to play !

Thanks man! Sorry for the late reply, didn't notice it.

And here's one more little update. Smiley

This is how far I've gotten with the promo pic now, I still need to do something about the background, but im thinking I'll just make the clouds prettier and that's it. Don't want to take too much attention of the ptero and caveman.

I also added some of those ambient creatures. Here's a few. Smiley

And here's a little gif from game shop. It's very simple, but I didn't think of including one at all in the start. But I really needed to give the player atleast some reason to kill the enemies.

I'm sorry, i still think the older image looked better xD especially now with the caveman.
Both would looked determined in the same direction and it looks much more pleasant, like one coherent picture..well to me at least^^

Maybe ask some impartial people which one they like more. I'll leave you alone with this now^^
(It wasn't much work to make that picture..select by color worked surpisingly well in photoshop)

@Lobstersteve Hmm, I see. Well, then I will definitely try that out, but improve the pterodactyls texture and fix the lower jaw. And then look for feedback on which of the two is better.

@mzn528 oh thanks man! Smiley Wait, I didn't know you're also using GM for your game. That's cool! Smiley
