Hello,
looking for some feedback on a game recently made by me and another designer @LanzeGames
Sweets Runhttp://www.kongregate.com/games/lanzegames/sweets-runIt's a cutesy, simple endless runner where you jump over or slide under obstacles, while collecting candy to gain bonus score.
It's definitely not anything new, considering the all-so-many endless runners that are being made these days. But, it's been a great first project for me and my team to test and improve our development skills and style.
FeedbackThe main thing we're looking for is the feedback on difficulty.
Most of our initial feedback includes the word "difficult".
Which is something I've expected, because it was intentionally not designed to be a hand-holding game, despite it's casual graphic style. It's also pretty unforgiving from the start, which I assume is the main cause for comments about difficulty.
I think you do get better at it, but it may be a steep learning curve for casual players.
That said, I'd be happy to know what people's thoughts are on the difficulty.
And also where the bulk of the difficulty come from.
- Bad Controls
- Unfair level design
etc.
Thanks~
