Just updating to remind you the Early Adopter sale ends on November 11th.  (Just 3 days from now.)

Hi Everyone,

This is Mike from BrashMonkey.  On Tuesday, November 11th at 11:59 EST we'll be officially releasing Spriter Pro version 1.0 and that date will also mark the end of Spriter Pro's Early Adopter sale.



For those who might not yet know what Spriter is all about, here's a quick video explaining the basics of what it has to offer for 2d animators and game creators:



You can always download and use the free version of Spriter from our website at: http://www.brashmonkey.com/

Mind you this is not just a "limited time" or severely crippled "trial version" of Spriter.  The free version of Spriter is feature-rich and offers great benefits to animators and game creators. Of course we hope that those who find Spriter to be a useful tool will find it worthwhile to upgrade to Spriter Pro in order to benefit from the enhanced features and to help support its continued development.

Hi team_q,

You should have received a serial number for Spriter Pro.  All you should have to do is download the latest free version for http://www.brashmonkey.com and install it. If you already entered your serial number and email in previous installs, then the free version becomes the full Pro version when you install it.

If you did not receive your serial number, please email me at [email protected] with the information of your Kickstarter payment (your name and email address you used, as well as how much you paid)and I'll resend your serial number to you.

Good to have more solid animation tools. Will you be working with YoYoGames to create fully compatible export to Game Maker as well?

Been waiting a while for this! Apart from a few issues and bugs I had a decent experience with Spriter.

Proper GM export and support would be great.

Hi again everyone,

Thanks for the kind words.  If you see any bugs, please report them with as much detail as possible. Edgar (Spiter's programmer) tends to fix them quickly.

As for GameMaker Studio, we will definitely do what we can to help ensure GMS ends up with Spriter playback support, but can't promise how soon it will happen.  For now you'd have to use Spriter's ability to export finished animations as sprite-sheets or sequential images at any FPS you desire.
