I'm a musician/keyboardist that loves composing and I have composed for short films locally on and off. I've just quit my 9 to 5, 40 hour a week job and moved out of the city to start up a music production company specialising in short films and games. We can produce anything from intimate electronic, to full out orchestral (between us we can source instrumentalists). At the moment it is just me full time and another studying instrumentalist on and off. We have no name, no website, nothing to show off, just this offer of an entirely free, complete and original soundtrack for your game.

If you're interested just PM me a short bio of your game including genre, mechanics, and uniqueness (if any). I will contact you with my impressions to solidify a soundtrack that is what you envision. If you are completely music illiterate and have no idea what you are looking for, I can bring a selection of ideas so you have some options.

This is not generic public domain music! I will be composing a unique soundtrack for free!

What have you got to lose? It'll cost you nothing! GET IT WHILE WE ARE STILL IN START UP AND IT'S FREE!

Um.

It's mostly us musicians on this subforum. You're welcome to talk about music here, and showcase your own music, but you'll have little chance here of reaching out to developers. For that, take a look here

Also you ought to value your own skills more. Just because you're new to this field doesn't mean you should simply give everything away to build a portfolio. Would you hire somebody who has literally no representation offering their services for free, or pay reasonable money for someone with a professional attitude who has representation and demands compensation for their work?

I'd build up a portfolio of various styles in your free time, then get a website going. Make a post in the Portfolio section here, and make it clear you expect some kind of compensation, but that you're willing to set a low price since you don't have much of a track record.

As a recording engineer/producer, I got taken a lot more seriously when I raised my hourly rates. In fact, I got more work than I did when I undercut everyone. When people see a professional attitude combined with professional results they'll flock over My 2c, take it with a grain of salt.
