Mobile game. Inherently bullshit right out of the gate.

Here is why my game, Kerfuffle, is bullshit.

The main mechanic of 1 hit kills is extremely limiting and gets boring very fast. It is pretty fun when you have 4 people playing, but 1v1 is less exciting.

Stages are extremely static and require moving platforms/hazards to make it more interesting.

There is no coherent theme. The characters/environments are all over the place and none of it makes any sense.

There aren't enough game modes.

There aren't enough stages.

Difference in characters makes them entirely unplayable or too similar.

(I made a card game for 3 to 8 people, and it sucks with just 3 people. Just because a game can accommodate playing with less people doesn't make it BS when you have more)

(Then find some moving platforms/hazards to put into the levels)

(Okay, one, the new game by the lazer fury guys, spooks & spikes, has a theme going in four different directions, and it still looks cool. And two, if it really bothers you, just find your favorite theme and change everything else to fit that)

(Actually, two to three game modes should be enough for any smaller indie game)

There aren't enough stages.
(easy fix, when you've found your theme, just make more)

Difference in characters makes them entirely unplayable or too similar.
(Most things can't be fixed without playtesting, this is one of them)

Don't worry about how the game feels now, you can't judge a work of art until it's done.

1. learn how to do it yourself
2. pay an artist
3. revenue share with an artist
4. just make anti aliased geometric shapes and nice fonts and call it minimalist
5. creative commons art
