Hello to all.

Me and my team have been working on a demo for our project "OMNIS" for a few years now (coming up to three...)

The demo itself is finished. It's gone through extensive testing and is currently in its 15th iteration of refinements and tweaks.

We're currently in the process of moving things towards fundraising to complete the game. To that end, it's always great to get feedback and suggestions/thoughts on how we can improve it further. As the game is nudged forwards, I'll be posting updates and such here.

ABOUT THE GAME:

OMNIS is specifically story and character driven, focusing on adoptive brother and sister Orphan and Skyler as they arrive in Verdamm City. They had heard that Verdamm, the world's first city, was an urban utopia. But upon reaching it after years of travel, they discover it to be in the midst of a savage, merciless depression. Before they can escape it they are forcefully recruited into the 'Operatives' - a covert network of killers, torturers and general purpose thugs that has arisen through the desperation of the populace.

Their first assignment sets them against a chain of events that are spiraling out of control. To survive they will have to fight for lesser evils and for each other, all while enduring the sinister fascination of a strange intelligence. An intelligence bent on testing the limits of their bond and proving that it can be utterly broken.

OMNIS is currently rated 5/5 on rpgmaker.net and gamejolt - something we're beyond happy about.

ABOUT US:

I love RPGs, but I'm extremely fussy about what rings my bell. So the motivation for making OMNIS is the simplest possible: I wanted to make the RPG that I'd want to play.

It was made it RPGMaker, but features completely unique sprites, maps, battlers and an original soundtrack. The project so far has been a labour of love for me (lead developer) and my composer, concept artist and script editor.

We've got big plans and ambitions for expanding the demo into its finished version, so any insights you can offer on the game as it stands are hugely appreciated.

Thanks, hope you enjoy!

Stephen Elder

EDIT
Version 16 is up now, which features some significant changes over the previous. The jrpg staple of 'random encounters' has been replaced by on-map enemies, which can be fought, avoided or outrun at will. Each has their own movement patterns, speed and degree of hostility.

Check this game out! I played the demo and was thoroughly impressed.

Most definitely throwing money their way when this project succeeds!
