I played and loved the demo of the fourth one. However, the full game felt rather repetitive and I felt incredibly disconnected to it after a while (far too much party resetting for skill points and such). A lot of people said it was a great improvement for the series, so I'm hoping that V draws me back in.

At least this means they're done with remakes.

psssh nah we still got EOU2 and probably an EOU3. EOU1 was actually good and further improved the stuff introduced in EO4 so I'm pretty excited about EO5! I'm curious what classes and stuff we'll be getting!

Also worth noting they're doing a Mystery Dungeon Etrian Odyssey too, which is set to release 3/15 next year in Japan?

Man I loved the EOIV demo, I still need to get around to playing a full Etrian Odyssey game.

That new 3DS coming out soon suddenly seems so much more enticing!  Kiss

This is cool, I'm not the best at Etrian Odyssey, since I've only reached the third stratum in EO3 before I raged quitted at the lava tiles. That artstyle is so cute!
And the 3D models of the mystery dungeon game remind me of Persona Q's 3D models. Since Persona Q is Etrian Odyssey with a Persona skin (with 3D cutscenes), I'm assuming EO5 has been made more accessible and uses 3D models for your party members.

Also, props to the team behind EO, since they seem to release the European version of their games near the same time as the USA, unlike the other ATLUS titles (I'm looking at you Shin Megami Tensei IV).
