SPACE XNX is a side scrolling space shooting game where your only target is to try and get the highest score by avoiding or killing asteroids,enemy spaceships. The game does not come with a story mode, but instead you get a fully action packed set of game modes such as arcade and asteroid shoot where you need to get the best score that you possibly can.
On top of that, SPACE XNX is a very immersive game that makes you feel like in the role of a space explorer. The graphics in the title are very nice, with beautiful backgrounds and stellar ship design, and the whole set of animations used for both the ship and asteroids are very good as well. SPACE XNX successfully manages to transform a simple idea of shooting asteroids into a work of art, that combines good graphics and soundtrack in order to fully immerse you into the experience.
Controlling the ship is very easy, you just use the arrow keys to perform the basic movement options and you will be able to shoot with the Space bar. The whole process of shooting wandering through the space and destroying asteroids isn’t in vain, as SPACE XNX will automatically track your score and your previous scores as well. There’s an integrated leaderboard in the game, which allows you to always see if you are going to overcome your scores, so the title does bring a lot of replay value that brings both joy and excitement.
As you move in the world of SPACE XNX you will have the opportunity to encounter various types of power-ups, each one with its own set of unique powers. These will usually bring you the ability to change your weapons, and with so many weapon types to choose from such as laser, electrical, plasma and so on, it’s a real treat to go through those asteroids and destroy them.
Another neat thing about SPACE XNX is that the game is as long as you want it to be. You can play it for hours and hours as long as you manage to destroy all asteroids,enemy spaceships, or you can just end the game session immediately. The game is all about having the fun you need, when you need it and we feel that it captures that perfectly. From the good level design, engaging gameplay and enhanced replayability, SPACE XNX manages to bring a wonderful game experience that you might want to engage in from time to time.
