Well, its obligatory so I guess my first post should be here. I'm David 'scar3crow' Queener, residing in Oregon but Tennessee by birth and raising. 24 years old, I just moved to Oregon for a job with GarageGames as a QA Analyst. In my free time I work on design docs, focusing primarily on a non-cinematic horror fps, and a goofy rts. The former has an engine in development and a small team, but is still beyond humble, despite the grandiose doc for it. In my other free time, I am involved with the original Quake community, as a news guy for inside3d.com (which I am doing a terrible job of updating lately) and lurking various other Quake sites, and following projects based off of their engines. Other stuff? I like music, namely extreme metal, ambiance, classical and romantic. I think a lot about politics (not parties or elections, but what individual rights mean and how they change in relationships), theology, nutrition and I always do my best to tie these all into game design. I am a nut about Halloween and anything of that mood. I am sadly bereft of experience with games beyond the typical commercial venues, though I've been downloading a bunch of games from the news page, to try in some of that rare free time. Of the games that influenced me or have remained in my heart over the years, I would have to cite Doom/Doom2, Quake, Duke 3d, Blood, Heroes of Might and Magic 2/3, Diablo/2, and NetHack. Here is what I look like when getting married:

Hello everyone,
I'm David, also known as Rifter. I'm a 20 year old guy from Buenos Aires, Argentina. My favorite game is probably Solar Winds (by Epic, painfully short). I got into programming after trying to make a MOD for Half Life (Never actually finished the MOD, but got hooked with coding). Nowadays I work as a junior software developer making really boring stuff with C++, and make games during my spare time (actually never finished any of those either).
My weapon of choice is SDL, and my goal in life is to finish a frakking game.
See you around

Hello there. I'm strong414bad, and even though I have a number in the middle of my name I happen to not be a completely unintelligent fool. I made Mario fangames for a little while over at MFGG but eventually decided that I could do better than making Mario seem "epic" and thus decided to make a completely original game.
Unfortunately, I'm a bit lazy and said game has yet to be started.
Anyways, I use MMF2 for my assorted game-makings and I also make Youtube Poops (but the good kind that rape your ears, not the bad kind that use CD-i.)
So... yeah. I'm here and I hope to stay for a while and all that good stuff.
There are no good kind of Youtube Poops.

There are no good kind of Youtube Poops. Well most of us poopers are probably certifiably insane so really anything that assaults your eyes and ears is good to us. Yep, that's the stuff right there.

Hello, I'm "NAL", real name Andrew McCluskey. I'm 17 and make games with Game Maker (I'm intermediate level with it - I know a fair amount of its GML and never use drag and drop actions any more). I'm more into short, frequent, strange minigames than long, occasional, sensible games. I'm also a moderator on YoYo Games, the main Game Maker website, so hopefully I should make some sense and be a newb, not a n00b. Hopefully I'll be here for a while, as opposed to posting an introduction (check), a few advertisements (check) then running off. So, yeah Let me know if you want more info, my games can be found on my website and I'll check my PM inbox now and then.

Hello children. I'm ChrisD, some might know me as the guy who made Total Klik back the in day. Been into game making most of my life really. Since I was a young un I used to map out and make my own games on paper with my friends, and life was full of skittles and giggles. But then when I left school I purchased a computar machien and found TGF and MMF and flew into the 'click' game making scene. Haven't released much in the way of games except Spuds Quest a couple of years ago which is really a homage to my first great experience of game playing (the Dizzy games on the ZX Spectrum). I wasn't happy with it tho and a week after release I set out to make it bigger and better and etc. Still trying to finish it Oh and I also worked on a game which I've been doing a bit on lately called Syndicate Online. It's an online MUD kinda game which is quite fun. Hoping to release another beta soon and get the server back up. And that is all for now.

Have I really not posted on this thread yet? I suppose I probably should. Hi! I'm Dom Camus. Better known as 'bateleur' in various online places. Games are my thing. And pooters. I like them too. I've been designing pootergames for about 25 years now, but most of the time nothing gets published. Indeed, I've only ever released one title commercially, which was way back in 1993 ( Dozer, an Amiga puzzle game which as far as I know only one person outside the design team ever completed). This isn't because I suck at finishing things so much as because the kinds of games I like to make don't tend to be commercially viable. I also play boardgames, roleplaying games, TCGs, wargames and so on... My favourite games (at the time they were released) include the original Lemmings, Super Streetfighter II, Dynasty Tactics II and Armadillo Run. Currently I live in London, UK. I like monocles, pandas and chocolate. The first two of those being why I'm here.

When we're note working for ourselves we're working as contractors for other indies. Christophe make beautiful 3D models and I try to port games on Mac.

Hello, I'm Capuano, born and raised in Tennessee. For as long as I can remember, I've always been fascinated by computers, music, and art, so I guess it makes sense that I love video games. I'm currently going to school to be a computer programmer, and I am thinking seriously about going into the game development industry, whether it be in the form of my own independent studio or joining some other developer. Whatever the case, I want to make video games but don't have the knowledge to do so yet. So, I am using all kinds of different sources to try and get started making games. In my free time I play trombone, guitar, and bass guitar, listen to plenty of music, play plenty of video games. Music-wise, I love jazz, rock, classical, and a bit of rap, but I don't exclude anything outright. I started out with video games on the old SNES and NES, playing the likes of Yoshi's Island, Gauntlet, Super Mario World, etc. Some games that I can say were fairly memorable (nostalgia, not necessarily quality) to me would be the Half-Life series, The Legend of Zelda: OoT and Majora's Mask, the Halo series , Final Fantasy 7 and 8, most of the Mario games (fuck yeah, Mario RPG), and God knows I've played a ton of others. I've been trying to play more independent games and am constantly blown away by the awesome. I'm in more of a learning phase right now, but hopefully I'll be able to contribute something to the news page sometime in the future.

Oh, bugger. I just introduced myself in this other thread. Anyway! I'm Rebecca Clements. I do art, I have a webcomic called KinokoFry and I occasionally make games. I made my first modest (crappy) game, Cirque de Zale, a gazillion years ago and I've left a trail of unfinished bits and pieces since. I'm working on a couple of new things at the moment, and - especially currently - a little something in MMF2. Nice to meet you guys!

Hi I'm Carl new to the forum, I've been making games for about ten years now as a hobby (since I was 12). I started with Klick 'n' Play, moved onto MMF and then onto Game Maker. I graduated from Newcsatle University in 2007 with a BSc(hons) in Computing Science : Games and Virtual Environments and I'm now working as a programmer at an educational games company called Caspian Learning. I love the creative side of making games and enjoy programming (most of the time). I'm going to avoid making a mega huge first post and simply post a link if anyone really wants to know more about me for some unknown reason :s http://www.selftitledgames.co.uk/AboutMe.phpmy website (which I really only use for hosting my games) can be found at http://www.selftitledgames.co.ukand this is what I look like Costume? what costume?
