My name is Rose and I like retro games. I also like games like Super Smash Brothers and even geeky DnD games. One of my favorites games - Demon Stone: Forgotten Realms for the PS. I own a Wii and I play SSBB online on occasion.

THESHIZZ indeed... THESHIZZ indeed.
Also, YarharHAR: That store you're in looks exactly like a certain EBGames in Nanaimo (where I used to live). I'm probably wrong, but even the ads up there and their placement are eerily identical to my memory of that particular store.

Hi, I am Philippe from France.
Relatively new to game design, among all the things I started, I released only a little set of games for young kids (2-4 years old), made in actionScript. I made it for my daughter's fun.
I mostly play on DS or flash games.

Thanks guys.
The store in the picture I believe is the closing Virgin Megastore in San Fran (took the picture while at GDC). I actually didn't end up buying any of the hats, I already have a fedora.
I believe I can say the new Synaesthete-esque game is coming out for XBLA, but no details beyond that. I'll be really happy once I can talk about that freely.

Hi! Name's Ron! I'm really on to games since I was about 6yrs. old, btw I'm 18 now so that makes 12yrs. in gaming industry. My first game was Mario on NES, then I've become addicted to the Tekken series up to now. Then comes CastlevaniaSOTN it really made me stay playing all day long adding up the new main character Alucard(which is awesome! his Dracula's son!). I also have My Brute, feel free to fight me: http://cell-ule.mybrute.com and my other one http://brute553.mybrute.com So to make this brief, I like fighting games(Tekken and a little bit of soul caliber), Flash games, RPGs and MMORPGs.

Hi I'm Mark [In lack of a better idea I use my first name as my screen name often] Dunno what to tell you... I'm a gamer and hopefully some time in the next couple of years also a developer, just need to finish school and get my programming down, currently I just know some basic stuff. Reasons for joining the forum is that I love writing and discussion, but I seldom have a very good point so you'll often just see me trying to make a bad pun or a pointless joke, let's all be friends. Uh and I'm also very friendly. edit: Goodness, I was so right, I mean, I'm closer to a living spambot than any other spambot, hope everyone laughed when I made fun of...well everything.

*popping out of lurker mode* Hi everyone, my name is Michelle. A long, long time ago, my Dad went out and bought me a Nintendo because all of his friends had bought them for their sons. And I really liked it. So I played video games and enjoyed them. One day, my dad realized that I was girl and decided that video games weren't meant for girls. He stopped buying games for me which meant the end of my baby gamer days. (Hey, I was 10. It wasn't like I could afford to buy my own games.) Fast forward about a decade and I began dating a gamer. Like most teenaged guys, he loved to show me what he could do on his video games. (Yes, that stuff actually does impress some girls. But not when your "one more try" means you sit there for 2 hours while he continually screws up.) Since he was more interested in showing off for me than he was playing games with me, I became quite an avid game watcher. Thanks to that experience, interesting storylines and the "watchability" of a game became just as important to me as game play itself. While I wouldn't call myself a hardcore gamer, I do love video games and I'd say they're a big part of my life. As for indie games, I'm sort of just exploring the indie gaming scene now, trying to get a feel for what's out there. Though I am not a programmer, I do have an IT background and did a lot of technical writing. So hey, if anyone needs/wants some storyline critique and/or help on story, I'm there.

Good Night Fellow Gentlemen (and Ladies?) I've been procrastinating this introduction for a looong time, but I really need to start to work! My name is (Introduce here a weird Latinoamerican name), also known as PixelHorror, I'm from a country called Colombia, so English is not my main language, but I do my best. As many of you, I love retro games, pixel art and chiptunes. Indie games are my passion, but I enjoy gaming in general, I really don't care in what platform I'm playing, the important thing is to have fun. I also think that Indie gaming is the future and that we're going to cure cancer and AIDS! I'm not an artist, neither a programmer, I just try to make things that work, look 'good' and obviously, are fun to play. Oh, and I love Construct too.

Hi all, My name is Ryan, and I've been lurking for a bit, thought it was finally time to take the plunge and introduce myself. I first got hooked on video games a little over 25 years ago when my family got our first video game console, the Atari 2600. It's been a constant stream of great games ever since, including these: Shadowgate holds a special spot in my heart for being the first game that I ever "designed" a sequel to when I was a kid (I'll post scans of that notebook if I can ever find it, it's hilarious). The coolest project I've ever been a part of was back in 2000 when I helped make an 11 story tall version of tetris: Now I'm fortunate enough to be making games for a living on the iPhone with a small group of friends from past jobs. When we're not coding like crazy, we're finding old copies of nintendo power maps to wallpaper our office with. I'm looking forward to being more active on the forums, and feel free to drop me a line if you ever need help with technical stuff on the iPhone. Happy to help out where I can!

Sure! We've made 2 games that were released by ngmoco: Mazefinger and Topple 2And so far we've released one game on our own: Line ShiftWe've also got another project that we're working on internally, but it's slow-going since we only get to work on it in between contract gigs.
